Three weeks into spring drills and Drake coach Rick Fox is still looking for more consistency from the offense. The Bulldogs are coming off their latest scrimmage and Fox says the defense dominated.

“We can’t be a roller coaster kind of offense and we need to consistently perform so that was disappointing”, said Fox. “There is a flip side to it when you scrimmage yourself and I thought our defense was fantastic.”

Fox says not only does the offense need to execute better but it also needs to become more physical.

“Football is always about being physical. The team that is most physical is going to get the ball more often and is going to protect the ball.”

The Bulldogs have four practices remaining before the annual Blue-White Game on Saturday, April 23.
