Two Algona men die in Kossuth County accident

Police-lights-300x180Two men were killed in a pickup crash Monday in northern Iowa’s Kossuth County.

The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Highway 18 about a mile-and-a-half east of Algona. An Iowa State Patrol crash report shows a pickup left the highway, ran up an embankment, went airborne, and struck a utility pole. The truck landed on its top. Both the driver and a passenger in the truck died at the scene.

They’re identified as 63-year-old Harry Fraker and 65-year-old David Ludwig. Both men lived in Algona.
