The Drake football team closes out spring drills with an intra squad game on Saturday afternoon. It will pit the offense against the defense with a special scoring system and coach Rick Fox says it will conclude a productive spring.

“I said to the guys after practice that there is only one thing better than the opportunity to coach you guys it is that you guys get to play this great game with each other”, said Fox. “It has been a blast out here coaching these guys.”

The defense will be awarded two points for a three-and-out, five points for a turnover and 11 points for a defensive touchdown. The offense can get on the board via a touchdown or a field goal and can earn one point for a first down and a point for a play of 20-plus yards.
