Hallice Cooke and Jordan Ashton are leaving the Iowa State basketball program.

Cooke saw action in 32 games averaging 2.6 points in 2015-16. He transferred to Iowa State after his freshman year at Oregon State. The 6-3 guard has been a granted a full release by Iowa State coach Steve Prohm.

“We appreciate the effort that Hallice has given to our program,” said Prohm. “He is a good young man and our staff will do everything we can to assist him in finding the right fit.”

Prohm also confirmed that Ashton will graduate and transfer to another school for his final season. Ashton, who was a walk-on prior to being given a scholarship in the fall, played 24 games as a junior. The Mt. Pleasant, Iowa native averaged 1.0 points per game.
