Two young men are facing charges in south-central Iowa after an apparent robbery turned violent.
Marion County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to an area northwest of Knoxville early Saturday morning on word of a “physical altercation.”
They recovered evidence and then learned a victim was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital. That person’s name is not being released, but the victim remains in critical condition.
Two people were arrested — 19-year-old Dalton Sharp of Melcher Dallas and 18-year-old Keaton Armstrong of Indianola are both charged with attempted murder, willful injury causing serious injury, and first degree robbery.
