Police car lightsForest City man is jailed after being accused of causing a brain injury in a Clear Lake woman after an attack last month.

Forty-one-year-old Steve Sifuentes was arrested this week and charged with two counts of domestic abuse, one count of willful injury and one count of first-degree harassment. A criminal complaint states that Sifuentes kicked and punched a woman in the head, arms, chest and back at her residence during two different occasions last month. Police say the woman sustained an internal brain injury after an April 23rd attack.

Sifuentes is also accused of threatening to kill a woman on April 10th while committing domestic violence against her at the same residence. Sifuentes remains in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $50-thousand bond. He’s due to make a court appearance next Friday.
