A Webster City man died Tuesday night after being struck by an eastbound Union Pacific train in Boone. The body of 84-year-old Donald A. Cook was discovered lying on the train tracks near the Story Street railroad crossing.
A caller to the Boone Police Department said that Cook was found bleeding from his head. Union Pacific Railroad officials and Boone Police continue with the investigation.
