Two people have been arrested, while a third suspect remains on the run, in connection with a fatal shooting last month in northeast Iowa.

Dubuque County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Gregory Egan says the investigation into the April 2 death of 21-year-old Collin Brown led to a pair of arrests Wednesday.

He says 18-year-old Imere Hall and 21-year-old Taylor Shaw, both of Dubuque, are in jail. They’re both charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery. Nineteen-year-old Tacari Minifee is wanted for the same charges and Egan is asking for the public’s help in finding Minifee.

“We believe he’s armed and ask that the public not take action on their own, but instead contact local law enforcement they may have as to his whereabouts,” Egan said. Investigators have said Collin Brown was shot after at least three suspects forced their way into his home at around 2 a.m. on April 2.

Brown made it to a neighbor’s home for help, but was pronounced dead at a Dubuque hospital. The shooting happened at a mobile home park in the community of Key West, just south of Dubuque.
