Police want information after body of Davenport man pulled from Mississippi

May 19, 2016 By Matt Kelley

Police car lightsPolice have identified a body pulled last week from the Mississippi River as that of a Davenport man.

Barge operators spotted the body Friday morning near Buffalo in Scott County and reported it. The Buffalo Fire Department responded with a boat and retrieved the body.

There was no identification, but Buffalo police now say the body is that of 35-year-old Gregory Dunbar. The cause of death has not yet been determined. Police want to hear from anyone with information about Dunbar’s last known whereabouts or his death.
