World of Outlaws make first stop at Knoxville Raceway

June 10, 2016 By Todd Kimm

knoxvilleThe World of Outlaws make their season debut at the Knoxville Raceway this evening for the first of two nights of competition.

“This is our biggest race so far and having a two-day show gets the fans out here a little early”, said track spokesperson Kendra Jacobs. “I think were are going to have a lot of fans camping here and take over the town of Knoxville. It seems like a little bit like a mini national.”

It is being billed as the Outlaws versus Team Knoxville and will feature the track regulars going up against the biggest names on the Outlaws circuit.

“The Knoxville guys have only won a couple of times over the years so we have got to stop that from happening this week. These guys are hungry for the win and they have got two nights to show the Outlaws they can’t come in here and take over their turf.”

Hot laps on both nights begin at 6:45 p.m.
