Omaha man charged in accident that killed Council Bluffs man

July 18, 2016 By Matt Kelley

Police car lightsAn eastern Nebraska man is jailed after a weekend crash killed a southwest Iowa man.

Omaha police arrested 27-year-old Nicholas Colabello, of Papillion. He’s charged with felony motor vehicle homicide in wake of a crash early Saturday in Omaha that killed a motorcyclist. That victim’s identified as 31-year-old Dustin Roof of Council Bluffs.

Police say Colabello turned in front of the Roof’s motorcycle and they collided. Police say alcohol DID play a role in the crash.
