Heavy rain forces delay at state softball

ighsau-logo-300Heavy rains in Fort Dodge have prompted a delay in the start of the state softball tournament. Officials with the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union say the start of quarterfinal round action has been pushed back to 1:00 p.m., with games on both fields every two hours.

Today’s consolation round games in class 5A have been moved to Wednesday.

 

Tuesday Revised Schedule:

1:00 p.m. Logan-Magnolia vs. Central Springs – BVU Field

1:00 p.m.: North Union vs. Iowa City Reginga – Mittera Field

3:00 p.m. Davenport Assumption vs. Atlantic – BVU Field

3:00 p.m.: Carlisle vs. Charles City – Mittera Field

5:00 p.m.: Solon vs. CMB – BVU Field

5:00 p.m.: Boone vs. Bishop Heelan – Mittera Field

7:00 p.m. Mount Vernon vs. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley – BVU Field

7:00 p.m. – Fairfield vs. Creston – Mittera Field

9:00 p.m. – Benton vs. Estherville-LC – BVU Field

9:00 p.m – Oskaloosa vs. Perry – Mittera Field
