Des Moines man shot to death while riding his bike

Police-lightsPolice are investigating the seventh homicide of the year in Iowa’s capitol city.

Des Moines police say a 59-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday morning while riding his bicycle in a residential area of town known as the Kingman neighborhood. Officers found the body of Dennis Strable of Des Moines near Roosevelt High School at about 4:30 a.m.

No arrests have been made and police have not indicated they have any suspects.
