Firefighters find 98-year-old man dead in Dayton home

Fire-truckA fatal fire is under investigation in north-central Iowa’s Webster County.

Firefighters were sent to a home early this morning in the town of Dayton. After the fire was brought up control, firefighters found a person dead inside the home.

The victim is identified as 98-year-old Alan Porter of Dayton. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
