Police car lightsMonticello Police and the FBI made an arrest at about 3 a.m. today in connection with a bank robbery in Monticello on Friday.

Brandon Brown of Monticello was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his home. Police had been searching for the suspect since late Friday morning when F&M Bank in downtown Monticello was robbed shortly after 11 a.m. Surveillance video shows the robber dressed in black with a mask and pointing a gun at bank tellers before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money. No one at the bank was hurt.

Tips from the public led officers to execute that search warrant. Brown is currently being held at the Jones County Jail on $25,000 bond. He has been charged with first degree robbery, which is a class B felony.
