The Board of Regents has hired a company from Washington, D.C. to help them pick a new president for the University of Northern Iowa.

The board selected AGB search to help them identify potential candidates, receive nominations and applications for the position, and conduct background checks on applicants. The firm will be paid $85,000 for its services plus expenses.

The Board of Regents is looking to replace Bill Rudd, who left the Cedar Falls campus to become the new president of Marietta College in Georgia. The board has not yet announced a timeline for the search or said if they will reveal the names of the finalists before making a selection.
