Police car lightsThe Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the victim of Monday morning’s motorcycle crash in Fort Dodge.

He is identified as 21-year-old Avery Scott Jackson of Webster City. A Fort Dodge Police Officer observed a 1999 Honda operated by Jackson traveling at an apparent high rate of speed. Police pursued the motorcycle for several blocks.

Jackson then lost control of the motorcycle in the 1700 block of Williams Drive entering the west side of the roadway striking a curb, mailbox and tree. Jackson was ejected from the motorcycle and was dead at the scene. The motorcycle came to rest on the front porch of a nearby residence.
