Kansas man sentenced to prison for prostitution in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska

August 22, 2016 By Dar Danielson

GavelA Kansas man will serve more than five years in prison on a prostitution charge that involved Iowa and two other states.

Twenty-two-year-old Jason Johnson of Overland Park, Kansas was convicted of transporting a person with the intent to engage in prostitution. An investigation that began in Omaha in January revealed Johnson had driven a young girl to Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa for prostitution. Johnson took the minor to the three states in exchange for a portion of the prostitution profits.

He was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison and ordered to serve 10 years probation once he completes that sentence.
