Iowan dies from injuries following South Dakota accident

Police car lightsAn Iowa resident has died from injuries sustained in a crash on Tuesday in South Dakota

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 57-year-old Rohit Shah of Rock Valley died Thursday in a Sioux Falls hospital.

They report that Shah had been driving westbound on South Dakota Highway 42, one mile northwest of the Iowa state line when the Toyota came to a complete stop in the westbound lane and was struck from behind by a truck driven by 30-year-old Philip Gacke of Canton, South Dakota.
