Ohio man arrested in death of Glenwood woman

September 19, 2016 By O. Kay Henderson

Police-car-back-300x224An Ohio man is accused of murdering an 18-year-old woman in western Iowa early Saturday evening.

Kathryn Weber graduated from Glenwood High School this spring. At about 6:30 Saturday night, authorities found her shot and bleeding outside of the assisted living facility in Glenwood where she worked.

An hour and a half later, police arrested 27-year-old Mark Troutman at a motel in Glenwood. He’s from Sylvania, Ohio, and police say the two were acquaintances. Authorities say Troutman had been to Glenwood before. He’s been charged with first degree murder and is being held in the Mills County Jail on a $5 million bond.
