Man dies after falling from grain bin in Adams County

Police car lightsA southwest Iowa man is dead after falling from a grain bin.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said the 78-year-old apparently lost his footing and fell from a grain bin located about a mile northeast of Prescott, off Quince Avenue. The incident was reported a little before 9:30 a.m., Wednesday.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene. The Adams County Coroner was notified. No other information was released.
