Le Mars teen identified as victim in fatal accident

Police-lights-300x192A 19-year-old Le Mars man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash Friday night in northwest Iowa.

The accident occurred on Highway 3 when a pickup truck crossed over the centerline and struck a semi truck and trailer. The driver of the pickup, Evan Niebuhr , was killed in the crash. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by both the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
