Car driver in Springville bus accident dies

The driver of the car suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash with this school bus near Springville.

The driver of the car suffered in this accident has died.

The driver of a car that ran into a school bus in eastern Iowa has died.

The crash happened Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 151 near Springville. The Linn County Sheriff’s office reported a car driven by 26-year-old Molly Zelinskas of Dubuque ran into the back of a Springville school bus that had stopped on the highway to drop off a student.

Zelinskas died from her injuries on Tuesday, according to an obituary posted on a funeral home’s website. One student on the bus was treated for minor injuries after the crash.
