One person dead, one critical in Des Moines accident

police-lights-300x192-300x192A three-vehicle crash on Tuesday left a Des Moines man dead and an infant in his car was critically injured.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at a busy downtown Des Moines intersection near Principal Park, the home of the Iowa Cubs. Des Moines police say a car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a pickup and then hit a larger truck.

The driver of the car, 46-year-old Soe Reh, died from his injuries. An infant who was a passenger in Reh’s car was hospitalized in critical condition.
