Police have released the names of the people who were killed or injured Thursday when a pickup truck crashed through the entrance of a Walmart store in Pella.

Two of the people killed worked at the store; 31-year-old Carrie Zugg of Leighton and 29-year-old Lindsey Rietveld of Bussey.

The third person killed was a shopper, 76 year old Ruth DeJong of Pella. Her husband, Robert DeJong, was injured along with the driver of the pickup, 66-year-old Dennis Mockenhaupt of Knoxville.

Iowa State Patrol Sergeant Nate Ludwig said there’s no reason to believe this was an intentional act, but it’s still unclear why it happened. “We’re still trying to determine that right now,” Ludwig said at a news conference Friday afternoon in Pella.

Autopsies on are scheduled for next week.
