George fire victim identified as a 10-year-old girl

The person killed in a weekend fire in northwest Iowa has been identified as a 10-year-old girl.

The fire broke out in a home in the small town of George just after midnight on Sunday. Ten-year-old Riley Meyer died in the fire. She was a third grader at Central Lyon Elementary School in Rock Rapids. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
