A central Iowa teenager is in jail after the weekend death of his infant daughter.
Des Moines police say 17-year-old Jayden Straight is now charged with first-degree murder and child endangerment resulting in death. Police responded to Mercy Hospital on Friday after an eight-month-old girl was admitted with serious internal injuries and traumatic head injuries. She died on Saturday.
Straight turned himself in on Sunday morning.
