For the second-straight year, Drake’s Katie Dinnebier has earned the Jackie Stiles Trophy as the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year.

Dinnebier is the eighth player in Drake program history to take home The Valley’s top postseason honor. It marks the sixth time in league history that an individual has won the award in back-to-back years and the first time since current Bulldog assistant coach Becca Hittner collected the honor for three-straight years from 2018-20. Dinnebier leads the league in scoring (22.7 ppg) and assists (7.5 apg) and is the only player in the country averaging at least 20.0 points and 7.0 assists per game this season. She was recently named a finalist for the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, presented by Her Hoop Stats.

Dinnebier was also named to the All-MVC First Team and MVC All-Defensive Team. She was joined by fellow senior Anna Miller on the All-Defensive Team. Miller also represented the Bulldogs as a Second Team All-MVC performer. She averaged 13.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 blocks this season. Miller needs just two more rebounds to become the sixth player in program history to records 1,000-plus boards and 1,000-plus points in her career.

Drake opens defense of its Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship Friday afternoon in Evansville. The Bulldogs are the fourth seed and play the winner of Thursday’s game between Illinois State and Southern Illinois.
