A Pella woman faces an attempted murder charge for allegedly stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife.
According to a news release from Pella Police, a man called 911 just before 10 o’clock Sunday night to report his wife had attacked him with a knife. Officers found the man in the basement of his home. He was flown to a Des Moines hospital for treatment and police say he’s in critical condition.
Pella Police say they recovered a large kitchen knife covered in blood and their investigation determined the stabbing happened during “an ongoing argument.” Fifty-six- year-old Marci Allen has been charged with attempted murder and domestic abuse assault.
