Enjoy the day without rain as the forecast calls for a return of heavy rain.
National Weather Service forecaster Elliott Morrow says that should hit tomorrow. “By tomorrow afternoon we got a new system coming in and it’s going to be leading to some more rain,” he says. Morrow says they are still trying to figure out what area of the state will be hit the hardest.
“Center axis of heaviest rain is a little questionable right now looks to be the northwest area couldn’t see the heaviest, but with forecast being a few days out here could change,”he says. Morrow says this storm could dump a good amount of rain before it clears out.
“One to two inches is reasonable through the week here. It could be locally heavy amounts as we get through these multiple rounds of showers, especially with areas that get persistent showers, they’re going to be higher rain totals for sure,” Morrow says.
Things are forecast to dry out again later in the week.
