Authorities have released the name of the southwest Iowa boy who drown in a lake Tuesday morning. Three boys from Stuart were swimming at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines near the boundary ropes in about 15-feet of water. The other boys say 16-year-old Corey Moore started to have trouble and went under. The friends tried to keep Moore afloat but couldn’t and yelled for help. Several people tried to locate the missing boy to no avail. Moore’s body was found by members of a dive team about two-and-a-half hours later near where he’d last been seen. It’s the third drowning in three days in Iowa and is at least the seventh this year.
