The Iowa baseball team hosts Minnesota this weekend in a key Big Ten Conference baseball series. The Hawkeyes and Gophers are tied for second in the league race with 12-8 records and are just two games behind first place Illinois. Iowa coach Jack Dahm says people around town are starting to get excited and the players are getting excited too. Dahm says this will be the last home weekend for the seniors who he says have done a great job of getting the program turned around. He says the seniors can leave a great legacy by getting them back into the Big Ten tournament, and hopefully the championship game. The top six teams qualify for the Big Ten post-season tournament and nine teams are still in the hunt. Dahm says the conferences is so competitive that it will be an interesting weekend. The series begins with a single game tonight.
