Authorities in western Iowa are investigating the puzzling death of a woman from the Des Moines suburb of Clive. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Department was notified Thursday that 38-year-old Jennifer Dickerson was lost in a corn field somewhere in the county. She’d called her family from a cell phone. The only information the deputies had was that Dickerson was driving a red pickup and was just off a gravel road near some trees. Deputies searched for the woman and about 6:30 Thursday night, a conservation officer found the pickup near a county park north of Stuart. Dickerson was inside, dead. The cause of her death is under investigation but authorities say they do not suspect foul play.
