The Iowa State football team prepares for Saturday’s spring game. It will give the coaching staff one more chance to evaluate position battles and give the players a chance to experience game-like conditions. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says there are people in the state, and you have a feel of a game-day situation. He says it’s important to finish the spring on a strong note. His team is looking to bounce back from a 2-10 record last fall. McCarney says he really likes the way the staff and team is working right now, with an urgency. He says they’ve seen what the teams have done this winter, the respect they brought back, and he says they want to get the football team back the respect they’ve had in the past.
