The Iowa Hawkeyes return to action tonight with a visit to Ohio State. A victory would be huge. At 6-5, the Hawks are part of a logjam in the middle of the conference standings. Iowa downed the Buckeyes in their first matchup last month. Iowa coach Steve Alford says they can’t afford to look at the schedule and see who might win and lose, they just have to play their game and win it. In the first meeting, the Buckeyes were without the services of junior guard Tony Stockman. Alford says he’s their best shooter and leading scorer. Alford says Stockman makes the Buckeyes more difficult to defend by extending the defense.Ohio State coach Jim O’Brien talks about the importance of Stockman, saying he gives him a legitimate three-point shooter. O’Brien says Stockman is counted on to handle much of the scoring. He says when Stockman shoots the ball well, the team does well.
