The Iowa softball team opens N-C-A-A regional action in Lincoln, Nebraska tomorrow against Pacific. The Hawks always play a national slate in the pre-season but coach Gayle Blevins says they have not played any of the teams in this region. By winning the regional the Hawks would advance to their fifth College World Series since 1995. Blevins says that kind of post-season experience is a plus.Iowa is coming off the championship of the Big Ten tournament and combined good pitching and defense to compliment a potent offensive attack.Washington is the top seed while Nebraska is second. The Hawkeyes are seeded third.
