Investigators have released the name of a three-month old baby who died this week after being taken from a home in Grinnell. Her name is Aliyah Stevens. She was the daughter of Shane Dupee and Angela Stevens. Dupee is charged with first-degree murder in the baby’s death. He was arrested at the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital yesterday afternoon. A call came in about 6-30 Wednesday morning that Aliyah was not breathing. She was taken to Grinnell Regional Medical Center, but her injuries were so severe she was Life Flighted to Iowa City, where she later died. Dupee will have his initial court appearance Thursday morning.
