Vandals along the Mississippi Riverfront in Clinton could end up on the “America’s Best Police Videos” t-v show. Clinton city officials have installed video cameras all along the Mississippi River walkway. Clinton police chief Brian Guy hopes the cameras never record any video of vandals. He says they hope the cameras keep people from vandalizing the park around the riverwalk. Guy says the cameras will feed their signals into a 24-hour recording system.Guy doesn’t think the cameras are a violation of anyone’s privacy, as the cameras are in a public place. The cameras cost the city 14-thousand dollars. Over ten thousand dollars of the cost was paid through a grant from the Clinton County Gaming Association.
