An Iowa-made movie will be screened at a film festival this morning in the Windy City. The film “The Yoofo Club” will play at Chicago’s historic Biograph Theatre as part of the AngelCiti Film Festival. Producer Kimberly Busbee, of Des Moines, says it’s a big honor to have made the cut and to have the film shown at the festival.”The Yoofo Club” was shot entirely in Iowa with a cast and crew that was virtually all Iowan. Busbee hopes the film makes a good showing at the festival, which could lead to financing for its release in theaters, T-V or on video. Busbee says the film is about a bunch of misfits gathered in a rural bar waiting for a flying saucer. It’s scheduled to show at 10 o’clock this morning. The movie made its debut in Des Moines nearly two years ago. Top finishers in the AngelCiti Festival will go on to another bigger screening in Los Angeles.
