While many experts are saying Iowa’s economy is slowing, a new report shows employers are still interested in hiring workers. Michael Lynch of Manpower Incorporated says a survey in central Iowa shows companies plan to hire workers in January, February and March. The survey showed 30-percent of the businesses planned on increasing their staffs and only seven-percent said they planned on reducing staff. Lynch says the recent ups and downs in the stock market and presidential stalemate took place after the survey, but he doesn’t think they would’ve had an impact.Lynch says Manpower’s surveys in other areas of the state show similar results indicating confidence among businesses heading into the new year.Manpower Incorporated provides temporary workers for a variety of businesses.
