Iowans who can’t wait for the Yuletide season to arrive can get a jump on things by heading for Pella to hike along the Historic Village Christmas Walk. More than 20 of the Marion County town’s historic buildings are decorated inside and out.Patsy Sadler is director of Pella’s Historic Village. She says there are more than 30 Christmas tree displays throughout the town featuring things like gardens, angels and Father Christmas.Pella has won global acclaim for its annual Tulip Festival in the spring. Sadler admits it’s a little odd to be talking about Pella without mentioning the town’s trademark flower.The walking tours are running today through December 31st, but do NOT run on holidays or Sundays.
