Caregivers who work with the terminally ill across Iowa are paying close attention to the t-v program “E-R” tonight. The program about a fictitious hospital will deal with the decisions an elderly couple has to make when one becomes terminally ill. Frances Hoffman, the Executive Director of the Hospice of North Iowa, says the program could help get families talking about the situation.Hoffman sees many people who aren’t prepared.She says having a plan for living out your life can help you and your family.Hoffman says a group in Mason City will watch tonight’s “E-R” episode and then hold a discussion afterward.
