The Northern Iowa football team is midway through spring drills. The Panthers had a full contact scrimmage this past weekend. U-N-I coach Mike Dunbar says the players had good intensity and the competition was good. Dunbar says the focus on spring practice changes this week.Dunbar says the spring is a time for the younger players to try and gain a spot. He says they’re young with new coaches and it takes time to create and teach all the things they need.The Panthers will close out spring drills with a scrimmage on April 21st.
