An Ames manufacturing company went international today. The Sauer-Sundstrand Company officially merged with the Danfoos (dan-foss) Power Fluids Company of Denmark. Vice President David Anderson says the new company will be named Sauer-Danfoos. Anderson says the merger is a good marriage and allows the company to become a central supplier for hydraulic equipment. He says Sauer-Danfoos allows customers to go to one company for many products. Anderson says Ames will be the North American headquarters for the company and he doesn’t expect many changes for workers. The company has over 600 employees in the Ames and central Iowa area.
