Knights on horseback, magicians and maidens are mingling with the “commoners” in western Iowa this weekend. Council Bluffs is hosting the “Renaissance Faire of the Midlands” through Sunday. Adriane Millhollin is project manager of the Faire, which she says features a wide array of crafts, food and period entertainment on seven stages.Millhollin says armored knights will be jousting on horseback three times a day on both Saturday and Sunday. She says there are plenty of things to entertain families.The Faire is underway on the grounds of Iowa Western Community College at Interstate 80 and Highway 6.
