History and entertainment combine today in Fort Dodge as “Civil War Days” explodes onto a mock battlefield.Carrie Kuiper is spokeswoman for the Fort Museum in Fort Dodge, where hundreds of blue and grey-clad reinactors will be recreating the 1862 Battle of Fort Donelson, Tennessee.An actor who’s spent years of studying Abe Lincoln will also be at Civil War Days portraying the former President. Kuiper says there will be a variety of other events.Music for the Blue and Grey Ball, slated for 8 o’clock tonight, will be performed by the 97th Regimental String Band from Florida, which reinacts the music of the Civil War era.
