A northeast Iowa man was killed when his car collided with a train last night in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.Authorities say the car driven by 47-year-old Thomas Horsfield of McGregor crashed through the lowered crossing gates and directly into the freight train’s path. The car was carried a quarter-mile and was torn in half when it hit some railroad equipment. Horsfield was pronounced dead at the scene.
