The Northern Iowa volleyball team is ranked this week among the nation’s top ten for the first time. The Panthers are rated ninth after winning the George Mason Invitational last weekend. U-N-I coach Bobbi Peterson says all the people involved in building the program are pleased that they’ve broken into the top ten. U-N-I heads back to the Twin Cities this weekend and competes in a tournament that includes seventh-rated U-C-L-A and 20th-ranked Minnesota. Peterson says they’re exciting about facing some of the other top rated teams.
