Cedar Rapids native Zach Johnson won his first P-G-A Tour event on Sunday. The former Drake standout survived a shaky back nine that included four bogeys to edge Mark Hensby by one stroke to win the BellSouth Classic near Atlanta. He says it has been amazing, and pretty awesome.Johnson had a large following which included ten men who helped him financially when his pro career began. He says they helped him out and he feels great to play well in front of them. He says it was a business, but even more of a personal friendship.Johnson finished with an even par-72 on Sunday and took home a winner’s check of 810-thousand dollars.
