Waterloo police say a fatal car accident may’ve been related to a medical problem. 65-year-old Janice Plung of Waterloo was the only person in the car when it went off the road at the intersection of two city streets yesterday and hit a tree. Plung was taken to a Waterloo hospital, but died a short time later. Police say a pre-existing medical condition may’ve played a role in the accident. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
